Powered Up!

Men at WorkWell, just a quickie. I have electricity! Mostly you’d think thats a given and likely an everyday occurrence. But no. 3am Saturday morning I had power. In fact I was talking to a few people online. Then I had no power, and wasn’t talking to anyone.

Checked the fusebox, nothing blown. The Power Meter was off too. Not a good sign.

I went to bed and woke in the morning with no power if find that the boiler needs ye old juice to work. So no shower or hot water for me. In light of the lack of anything to do in the house I went for a ride on my bike, returning later to find that there’s a big hole where the pavement outside my house used to be.

So after hanging around for them to replace the (rather huge) cable so I could get in my house again, I have power.

So I’ve found electricity runs everything. And I’m no longer taking it for granted. Along with the Internet it’s one of my favourite pastimes.

    Sounds like it, The neighbours Gail and Graham talk fondly of ‘The blob’. I think they secretly had swingers parties with him.
