Myself and Mavis sparring in PortsmouthWell, I’ve finally decided to go for it. I spent two years at Uni practicing Taekwondo with the Pompey club. Went to a couple of Tournaments and endured countless kickings. And now I find myself wanting more…

I always planned to find a WTF club when I got to Derby and continue, however, it seemed there weren’t many about. Then work took over and I found myself dropping out of the habit of practicing. But now I’ve decided to take the plunge and join the Derby TKD club: It’s an ITF club, which is something I’ve not really been interested in, but I think that it’s a) better than nothing, and b) an opening back into TKD which I can expand into a WTF club if one comes along.

After Xmas, when I’m no doubt big and fat from dinner, the club will begin to meet again. I’ll keep you all up to date when it happens. I’m quite looking forward to this jump back into something I so loved from my Uni days.

I’m even buying some trousers to wear…
